Connecting Living Craftsmanship with Global Buyers
Shared Opportunity. Protected Heritage. Transparent Commerce.
Behind every handmade object is an investment of knowledge, materials, labor, and cultural inheritance. Purple Soul invites artisans, workshops, heritage producers, galleries, retailers, and qualified commercial organizations to explore structured consignment partnerships that connect meaningful products with international audiences.
Unlike conventional wholesale where makers must surrender heavy upfront discounts, our consignment framework ensures ownership remains with the consignor until verified customer sale, backed by itemized tracking, custody insurance, and predictable settlement cycles.
Three Distinct Strategic Pathways
Purple Soul maintains three clearly segregated programs. Each serves a distinct commercial or cultural function, ensuring clarity of purpose, legal precision, and transparent execution.
Institutional Partnerships
Collaborate on heritage, research, education, and institutional knowledge
Strategic Distribution Partners
Purchase and resell authentic collections under commercial wholesale terms
Strategic Consignment Partnerships
Place and sell eligible inventory under managed consignment agreements
Meaningful Products. Responsible Partnerships.
Traditional artisans often face barriers reaching international buyers, while specialty retailers and galleries may hesitate to risk capital on unfamiliar handcrafted lines.
Consignment bridges this gap. Under an agreed structure, eligible goods are placed with an approved selling partner while ownership remains with the consignor until a completed sale.
Title Preservation
Artisans do not surrender ownership or sell at distressed discounts. Title transfers only when the retail customer completes payment.
Lower Retail Capital Risk
Boutiques, museum shops, and cathedral stores can curate extraordinary masterworks without tying up limited operational liquidity.
Itemized Provenance
Each consigned SKU carries a unique serial number linking creator biography, materials, sacred symbolism, and regional origin.
Predictable Settlements
Transparent accounting statements detail sales units, agreed commission, sales tax, and net disbursements according to a documented schedule.
Four Formal Consignment Categories
Our consignment operating system defines four discrete partner roles to ensure inventory ownership, physical custody, sales responsibility, and financial liability are separated with legal precision.

Sales Transaction & Reconciled Settlement
Upon verified customer sale, title transfers, commission is retained, and net proceeds are disbursed under the agreed monthly or quarterly settlement schedule.
Reconciliation, Renewal or Return
Unsold items are audited at the end of the consignment term and can be renewed for another season, transferred to another channel, or returned securely.
The Consignment Operating System
The defining strength of Purple Soul's consignment program is what happens to products and funds after agreements are signed. Every item is treated with strict fiduciary custody.
Under U.S. Uniform Commercial Code (UCC Article 9), commercial consignment can risk merging into a retailer's general creditor pool. Purple Soul assists partners in executing perfected consignment agreements and, where appropriate, filing UCC-1 financing statements to publicly confirm that legal title remains with the artisan consignor.
Every piece is assigned a unique digital and barcode identifier connecting its maker, provenance dossier, photographic intake condition, current physical location, agreed reserve price, and sales status in real time.
8-Stage Lifecycle Record Architecture
Transparent Commercial Terms
Clarity before commitment. Every consignment agreement defines the commercial relationship in writing before inventory changes hands.
Product Ownership
The agreement identifies the legal owner of the goods and the precise contractual event that transfers title upon verified retail purchase.
Retail Price & Commission
Selling prices, discount permissions, minimum reserve floors, commission percentages, and eligible deductions are documented in advance.
Settlement & Reporting
Partners receive sales and inventory reporting according to the agreed schedule (monthly or quarterly), with clear payment obligations.
Inventory Responsibility
Custodial standards, recordkeeping, handling care, climate-controlled storage, and periodic stock reconciliations are formally established.
Loss, Damage & Insurance
Bailee responsibility for theft, handling damage, transit loss, commercial insurance coverage, and claims procedures are contractually defined.
Unsold Goods & Returns
Consignment duration, renewal provisions, retrieval rights, return conditions, and transportation costs are established upfront.
Tax & Legal Compliance
Sales tax collection, customs duties, cross-border import declarations, and applicable state consignment laws are handled according to jurisdiction.
Brand & Heritage Integrity
Product descriptions, maker attributions, sacred symbolism, and geographic origins must remain authentic and uncompromised throughout.

U.S. Domestic Consignment Pilot
Rather than opening all eight consignment models simultaneously, Purple Soul recommends initiating with a disciplined Artisan-to-Purple Soul Consignment Pilot within the United States before expanding to third-party retail host venues.
Hand-selected master workshops with proven craft heritage.
Individually numbered items with photographic intake condition.
Insured, climate-controlled American fulfillment center in Virginia.
Predictable 30-day reconciled electronic fund disbursement.
Strategic Question for Consignors: Should our initial pilot prioritize high-value, individually documented artisan masterpieces where provenance and storytelling justify premium prices—or higher-turnover devotional gifts where sales velocity compensates for smaller margins? We welcome consignor feedback on both options.

Let Your Craft Find Its Market
Meaningful Commerce Begins with Responsibility.
A handcrafted object carries the knowledge of its maker, the memory of its origin, and the resources invested in its creation. Consignment should protect that investment while creating opportunities for the object to reach people who recognize its value.
